About me

In short

I am a 42-year-old psychotherapist in training under supervision (Psychotherapeut in Ausbildung unter Supervision) of Italian origin and a member of the Austrian Association for Gestalt Theoretical Psychotherapy. My Italian roots, my artistic career and my life in an international dimension flow into my psychotherapeutic practice and expand my psychotherapeutic competences with a broad spectrum of experience and knowledge from the fields of culture, art and bodywork.

Psychotherapy & Art

My professional career combines the worlds of psychotherapy and art. Between 2005 and 2015, after my training in dance, I worked as a stage dancer for various theatre and dance companies in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Sweden. In 2017, I completed a master's degree in choreography and performative practices at Stockholm University for the Arts. I have been studying psychotherapy since 2019, first at the VPA - Association for Psychosocial and Psychotherapeutic Education and Training (psychotherapeutisches Propädeutikum) and then at the Austrian Association for Gestalt Theoretical Psychotherapy (psychotherapeutisches Fachspezifikum). In 2024 I was awarded the status of psychotherapist in training under supervision.

In addition to my work on stage, I have been involved in educational and social work from a young age, including projects for people with disabilities and in care homes, as well as teaching physical practices in various educational contexts.

In the last four years, in the frame of my internships, I have worked with unaccompanied underage refugees with psychiatric disorders at the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Österreichs, in acute psychiatry at the Viennese Donauspital and most recently in child and adolescent psychiatry at the General Hospital of the City of Vienna.

My dual experience in art and therapy enriches my approach to therapeutic work, viewing the therapeutic space as a realm of creative freedom - a concept I align with "Schöpferische Freiheit" (Metzger, 2022). In my role as a psychotherapist and choreographer, it is particularly important to me to create a climate of trust, open exchange, and dialogue that fosters the development of individual potential.

In Gestalt theoretical psychotherapy, creativity and personal development are central (Walter, 1994), promoting the overcoming of barriers that limit the realization and application of one's abilities. Creative freedom transcends the arts, highlighting each person's innate capacity for self-organization and achieving balance. Embracing this creative freedom provides a pathway to a fulfilling life, equipping us to navigate life's challenges with equilibrium and insight.

in training under supervision

Psychotherapists in training under supervision are prospective professionals who are at an advanced stage of their training and have been authorised by recognised institutions to carry out psychotherapeutic treatments. This authorisation confirms their professional competence based on the requirements of the supervision guidelines of the Federal Ministry of Health. As part of their training, they carry out practical activities under the guidance of experienced teaching therapists and reflect on these in supervision in order to ensure the quality of their work.

Psychotherapists in training under supervision offer several advantages for clients:

  • Lower rates: Their services are often cheaper than those of established psychotherapists, making it easier to access psychotherapy.

  • Regular supervision: Their work is continuously monitored by experienced therapists, which means additional quality assurance and expertise for clients.

  • State-of-the-art science: They work according to the latest scientific standards and methods, as their training is always based on the latest research.

Psychotherapists in training provide their services independently under close professional supervision and offer a quality of treatment that corresponds to the current state of scientific knowledge.
